Our USA Trip
Rhonda and I have just returned from 1 week intensively training with True
Colours global head quarters in California. We had the pleasure of meeting
many True Colours trainers from spiritual leaders to casino trainers; the mix
was really quite interesting. One message that was evident is that no one in
this world works in isolation; everyone has to mix and get along with other
people, no matter where we are in society, or what age we are. All of us are
responsible for working with others in a way that helps and inspire both
ourself and others.
This is why True Colours has such a wide audience, because it appeals to all
generations and provides such a straight forward methodology that even a 5
year old can understand and apply to there life.
Whilst we were there we attended advanced applications in the following
areas:
Advanced Communication skills
Team building
Leadership
Conflict resolution
Sales skills
As those of you who work closely with us know that we constantly research
and offer the latest theories in the above areas and combine them with the
True Colours philosophy, so we are no means planning on changing our
existing material. However for those facilitators who wish to be trained in True
Colours advanced applications then these products may be of interest to you.
After digesting the material we have decided to offer advanced application for
Conflict Resolution a subject that is close to many of us. The training runs for
1 day and costs $695.00. This workshop will certify you to use the True
Colours conflict materials. We will be launching training dates for 2009 within
the next few weeks, so keep checking in.

Strength Based Leadership
The key to any successful business is working with your team’s individual
strengths. As your team is only as strong as its weakest link, it is vital to
consistently work on inspiring all team members so they continue to perform
at their peak.
Strength based leaders awaken the sleeping passion that may be lying
dormant within Individuals. By inspiring them to identify their natural strengths,
they help individuals find the reason to strive to achieve excellence. The key
lies in learning how to influence your team's behaviour.
So many of our leaders are leading in a style that only meets their personal
needs yet fails to address the strengths and needs of their team members and
this is a key ingredient to poor work performance and lack of employee
engagement.
Research has found that for leaders it is vital that they communicate and
match the behaviour style of an individual team member. Meeting their needs
provides a powerful connection that makes each member feel good, they
respond accordingly and results power along.
We have been studying strength based leadership over the past 3 years and
the True Colours system help teams quickly identify their strengths,
motivations and stressors, with outstanding results. Each person has access
to all four colours True Colours uses, yet we are born with an affiliation
towards certain colours and this is where our natural strengths lie.
Here is a brief summary:
Blue: Artistic, relationship builders, client focused, sensitive to others needs,
excellent with open communication and keeping a team bonded together
Gold: Organised, focused and outcome driven, they are excellent in keeping
teams on track and driving the teams towards success
Green: Conceptual, global thinkers, they can see the big picture way before
anyone else, they can identify hidden opportunities that may otherwise go
unrecognised, great researches and evaluators
Orange: The doers, full of energy, self motivated impulsive, tests the limits
and natural entertainers, they are great at taking the risks that are often
required to achieve results
Embrace the philosophy of Strength based Leadership and reap the rewards.

ensure you a high performing motivated team who consistently produce
results.

How does a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity sound?
Peter Jones, the well-known entrepreneur, is setting up a National Enterprise
Academy, and is looking for around 35 keen young people to take part in a
pilot programme that will be running in Buckinghamshire from January-July
2009. The Academy will be based on the ideas and teaching methods tried
out during this programme, and you could help us to develop these, and gain
a unique experience at the same time.
What is the pilot?
An intensive course where you will develop personal and business skills, be
taught by entrepreneurs and experienced trainers, attend master classes,
take part in challenges, undertake work experience where you will address
real business issues, generate new ideas and concepts and develop a
business plan to take your own ideas forward. Help will be on hand from
experts at every step of the way.
Where will it be held?
The course will be delivered across a number of educational and business
locations in Buckinghamshire. The majority of class-based activity will take
place at the Amersham Campus of Amersham and Wycombe College. Master
classes, challenges and outward-bound and other outdoor activity will be
delivered at Aylesbury College, Green Park Training and Conference Centre,
and Bucks New University in High Wycombe. This will enable you to learn in a
mix of inspirational environments. Transport between locations will be
arranged. Work experience will take place on employers' premises.

We are proud to announce that we are now accredited
providers for the UK Education system "Young Gifted and
Talented" programme. We have submitted an application for funding for
years 5 and 6 across the UK and invite schools to contact us if they would like
to introduce our "Star" materials - designed specifically for UK learners - in
their schools.
